Ilse enjoys the outdoors. Her atmoshperic land and marine paintings capture the ever changing moods of light and weather conditions in some of the most beautiful settings of the British Isles and beyond.

Ilse enjoys the outdoors and has a deep appreciation of landscape with its interplay of light on water or escaping past a cloud.

Changing weather conditions are an inspiration rather than a disaster!

 

Ilse usually produces a series of paintings that explore a theme or location of interest to her.

Sometimes she will make different versions of the same subject.
